Health Safety Policy

1. Policy Statement

UK Education Bridge Ltd is committed to:

  • Complying with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all relevant regulations
  • Maintaining safe working conditions for staff and visitors
  • Protecting the welfare of assessors during site visits
  • Continuous improvement of our health & safety practices

2. Responsibilities

Directors Will:

  • Allocate resources for H&S compliance
  • Review policy annually

Managers Must:

  • Implement safety procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Report incidents promptly

All Staff/Assessors Shall:

  • Follow all safety protocols
  • Use equipment properly
  • Report hazards immediately

3. Key Procedures

Office Safety

  • Workstation assessments (DSE regulations)
  • Fire evacuation drills (biannually)
  • First aid provisions (trained staff on-site)

Site Visits (Accreditation Assessments)

1. Pre-Visit Checks:

  • Review host organization's H&S policy
  • Verify public liability insurance

2. On-Site Protocol:

  • Wear PPE if required
  • Report unsafe conditions to host immediately

Risk Management

  • Hazard Reporting System: Online form/internal portal
  • Risk Assessments: Conducted for all activities
  • Accident Investigation: Within 24 hours of incident

4. Emergency Procedures

Situation Action
Fire Follow GREEN exit signs to assembly point
Injury Call 999 → Notify first aider → Complete accident book
Hazardous Substance Isolate area → Use spill kit → Report

5. Training

Mandatory for:

  • Fire safety (annual refresher)
  • Manual handling (if applicable)
  • COVID-19/communicable disease protocols

6. Policy Review

Reviewed annually by the H&S Committee. Next review due: July 2026
